SLUICE 'DE BLAUWE DROMER'

Sluice 'De Blauwe Dromer' in Zeewolde is a in use since 2002 sluice which ows its name
from the artwork behind it in the Hogedwars Vaart. The height between the Hogedwars Vaart and the Veluwe lake is about 5 meters.
BioSealing: a startling technique
Over the years, through seepage, sand spout occurred and the sluice began to sag, so there is damage to the immediate area of the sluice. The Province Flevoland has decided to tackle the damage large-scaled. After different investigations and inspections they decited to tackle this problem by the new, but startling technique BioSealing. Deltares supervises the entire process and B & P was commissioned by the Province of Flevoland to carry out this work.
